 Environmental Conservation

The geographical situation of La Coruña has led to the creation of new neighbourhoods. The General Urban Regulations guarantee the preservation of existing green areas. Landscapes and leisure areas are considered essential because of both their aspect and position - green areas, the city's windows onto the ocean.

The Promenade, the Monte de San Pedro and the Park in Bens are three of the most significant examples of the creation of greean areas in the city. In a short time La Coruña has been endowed with large open areas for walking, contemplating nature and landscapes - a new home for numerous species of fauna and flora.
