Collection of other items

There are other kinds of waste and material which should be included in the collection plan so that they are not just dumped. Some of these items are

Dead animal: please call 010. The animal cremation centre was opened in 2002.

Abandoned vehicles: in collaboration with the Transport Department they are handed over to an authorised agent.

Dog excrement: collected on streets by a special vehicle.

Waste from cleaning beaches: collected with special machines.

Waste from pruning: there is a container in Ciudad Jardín for plant and tree trimmings.

There are also specific waste containers at the Puntos Limpios (waste centres).
