 Temporary Deposit

Production means that the whole complex is self-sufficient in electricity and also generates excess power which is supplied to the general network.

A small part of the waste that comes to the Plant cannot be recovered or recycled. There is temporary storage for this minimal fraction for which at present there are no suitable treatment processes.

A press reduces its volume before it is sent to the reject deposit, near the plant and built in accordance with landfill laws in force (Directiva 1999/31/CE del Consejo, dated 26 April 1999, related to Waste Landfills). Both the walls and the base are impermeable (bentonite, polyethilene, geotextil, granulated bed) and there is a toxic and gas detection system. Toxic elements will be taken to the Water Treatment Plant and gas to the Biogas Production System.
