 What is sustainability?

Individual and collective activities are sustainable when
The rhythm of resource consumption is less than the natural resources to regenerate.

The rhythm of emission of contamination and waste production is less than the environmental capacity to absorb and process it.

The consumption of non-renewable resources is less than human capabilities to effectively implement alternative technologies to substitute this consumption in an identical or higher proportion.

Sustainability also means
Improvements in social justice and democracy.

Adapting to the characteristics and conditions of different ecosystems.

Overcoming cultural limitations, which link quality of life to possession of material goods and the indiscriminate use of resources.
