A city to enjoy

La Coruña, a city to enjoy 24 hours a day. What could one of those days be like? Keep reading .... (we accept suggestions).

07:00-09:00 - FISH AUCTION
One of the most spectacular things to see in the city is the early morning unloading and auction of the fishing catch. Crates of fish of all kinds change hands suprisingly quickly - participants in the auction communicate with hand movements and words impossible to understand if this is your first visit.

We can take a rest and have a drink on La Marina or in the Plaza de María Pita, all the while enjoying the views.

09:00-11:00 - BREAKFAST
After getting up so early for the unloading of the fresh fish, it must be time to eat something - time for a good breakfast. The offer is very wide in anything related to food in Galicia and in La Coruña, but making the most of being in the port, we could have a nice hot chocolate with "churros" to dip in. A little glass of "aguardiente" (water of life) to recover some strength for the rest of the day - we will need it.

11:00-13:00 - SHOPPING
With a good warm breakfast inside, hundreds of shops are waiting in the four main shopping areas - Zona Obelisco, Cuatro Caminos, Calle Barcelona and Distrito Picasso. Jewellers, fashion stores, bookshops, handicraft, antiques ... something for everyone and another good opportunity to enjoy the hospitality the city is famed for.

13:00-15:00 - AN APERITIF
With weary feet and hands full of bags, a good moment to have a rest before lunch. If the weather is good, we can take a rest and have a drink on La Marina or in the Plaza de María Pita, all the while enjoying the views.
